Patricia dos Santos Paton was born in May of 1967 in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. She lived there for 30 years when she moved to Glasgow, Scotland, UK, where she still lives.
She worked as a biomedical scientist until her desire to photography started after having a child. Her passion grew further after attending to workshops and a new photographer was born in November 2011.
She is a passionate about people behaviour and she is a soul seeker. Her lens is the mirror of emotions and expressions, which then tell stories. She loves capturing the essence of real life but she is also engulfed by the mystical, by the surreal, by the mystery of mind and life.
She has become a fine art photographer, creating mainly surreal conceptual self portraits. Her collection of work is a timeless visual story book about human nature.
Her work normally uses techniques that allow the viewers to have a sense of being transposed to the world where the main subject is in the photograph.
